About Al-Yafir/Mary Greenwell's House
Another of Claudio Modola's masterpieces, Al-Yafir was completed in 2006. The house is full of Swahili character and elegance.
Accommodation
Located only steps from Shela beach, the 4-bedroom (3 doubles, 1 single) 4-level oceanfront home suits up to 7 guests comfortably.
The ground floor has a majestic entrance with stairs entering a breezy open terrace with a dining room and a comfortable lounging area. The chill-out atmosphere, hanging plants and soft furnishings exude romance. The master bedroom is located on the third floor and the rooftop terrace features another comfortable lounging area with a view of the Lamu channel.
Staff & Dining
The rental includes 3 staff to take care of your shopping, cooking, cleaning and laundry. Make sure to bring your favourite drinks and delicacies as you are unlikely to find your favourite wines, champagne and cheeses in Lamu. Depending on the season, all sorts of fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh fish, lobster, crab, prawns and oysters can be ordered and brought to the door.

$50 per night (per extra room)
$400 per night for entire house (7 guests, all 4 rooms)

Upon confirming rates and availability, you will receive an electronic invoice and a deposit can then be made by credit card, paypal, m-pesa or bank transfer to confirm your booking.
On receipt of your deposit, we will send you a receipt, confirmation, and voucher for your stay. The balance of the rental is due prior to arrival.
